# Sync WhatsApp Templates and Configure Event & Variable Mapping

#### Step 1: Understand the Prerequisites

Before sending WhatsApp messages from Tally:

* Create and get your WhatsApp templates approved in your panel.
* The Tally WhatsApp Extension does not create templates; it only syncs approved templates from your WhatsApp Business Account.

#### Step 2: Sync WhatsApp Templates

* Open **TallyPrime**.
* Go to **WhatsApp Sync Template**.
* Press **Enter** to start the synchronization.
* Wait until the template sync is completed.

#### Step 3: Open Event Mapping

* Go to **WhatsApp Event Mapping**.
* Select the event you want to configure (e.g., **Sales Invoice**, **Receipt Voucher**, **Payment Reminder**, or **Ledger Statement**).

#### Step 4: Assign a WhatsApp Template

* Choose the appropriate approved WhatsApp template for the selected event.
* Ensure the template matches the event (e.g., Invoice template for Sales Invoice, Receipt template for Receipt Voucher).

#### Step 5: Configure Variable Mapping

* Open the **Variable Mapping** screen.
* Map each template variable to the corresponding Tally field, such as:
  * Customer Name → Party Name
  * Invoice Number → Voucher Number
  * Invoice Amount → Voucher Amount
  * Invoice Date → Voucher Date
* Save the mapping using **Alt + A**.

#### Step 6: Repeat for Other Events

* Configure event mapping and variable mapping for all required voucher types and documents.
