# Create Shopify Automation Workflows

### Step 1: Create a New Workflow

1. Open the **WA Official API + AI** app in your Shopify store.
2. Navigate to the **Workflows** section.
3. Click on **Create Workflow**.
4. Enter a name for your workflow (e.g., **New Order**).

### Step 2: Select a Trigger

Choose the event that should trigger the workflow.

Available triggers include:

* Order Created
* Order Paid
* Order Fulfilled
* Order Delivered
* Order Cancelled
* Checkout Abandoned

For this example, select **Order Created**.

### Step 3: Add Workflow Actions

After selecting a trigger, you can add one or more actions to your workflow.

Available actions include:

* **Send Message** – Send a WhatsApp template message to the customer.
* **Delay** – Wait for a specified duration before executing the next action.
* **Webhook** – Send the order data to an external application.
* **Condition** – Execute actions only when specific conditions are met.

You can combine multiple actions in a single workflow based on your automation requirements.

### Step 4: Configure WhatsApp Message

To send a WhatsApp notification:

1. Click **Send Message**.
2. Select the WhatsApp template you want to use.
3. Configure the required template variables.
4. Save the message configuration.

Whenever the workflow is triggered, the selected template will be sent automatically.

### Step 5: Configure a Webhook

If you want to send order details to another application:

1. Add a **Webhook** action in the workflow.
2. Copy the generated Webhook URL.
3. Open your CRM portal.
4. Create a new workflow.
5. Add the **Capture Incoming Webhook** trigger.
6. Paste the copied Webhook URL.
7. Save the workflow.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://helpdocumentation.gitbook.io/user-documentation/integrations/shopify/create-shopify-automation-workflows.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
